Projects in Progress:

In Zimbabwe:

  • Providing ongoing food aid to those in need;
  • Acquisition of land in second rural community and development of second sustainable chicken and vegetable farm is under development. 

In South Africa:

  • Funding and building the first Cay Cay’s Happy House, a fully functional pre-school facility with water, electricity and playground equipment in a distressed area near Johannesburg.
  • In the a few years, EFI has funded into national and international humanitarian aid missions, microeconomic development projects, and emergency response/disaster relief efforts.

Humanitarian Aid

In Texas:

  • Funding relocation costs for a young woman coming out of CPS;
  • Temporary housing and medical aid to pastors from Zimbabwe with physicians in the renowned Houston Medical Center.
In Africa:
  • Water well, tank and stand, and generator for Christian School and Church facilities;
  • Food costs for widows, orphans, and families, primarily single parent, many of which infected with HIV- AIDS virus;
  • Food costs for children in public and Christian facilities;
  • School supplies;

Emerging Micro Business

Creation of a Farm in South Africa:

  • Agricultural support for chicken and vegetable farms, one of which won regional farm of the year in 2006; and

Creation of a Farm in Kenya:

  • Funding for water well, soil preparation, and vegetable fertilization on 35-acre farm yielding bumper crops of green beans and 11-foot corn fields; and
  • On Cheryl’s Wings (EFI’s new shipping division) helps fund a container of farm equipment and supplies to this same farm.
Creation of Farms in Zimbabwe:
  • Acquisition of land in rural community and development of sustainable chicken and vegetable farm with a water well.  Vegetable production is provided to the workers and to the elderly and widows of the community before the excess is taken to market. 

Disaster Relief

In Texas:

  • Acquired and distributed water, food, hygiene products, clothing, and diapers and other baby goods to victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita;
In Zimbabwe:
  • Funded emergency food aid during the Spring 2008 food crisis in rural communities.
