May 2008: EFI Special Alert - Food Crisis in Zimbabwe
Dear Friends,
We have a special alert regarding the plight of our Sisters and Brothers in Zimbabwe.
As you may be aware, recent elections have resulted in upheaval and uncertainty throughout Zimbabwe. This situation has created, among myriad problems, an ever worsening food crisis.
According to our local partners, many of our Sisters and Brothers are starving – some have not had a proper meal in over five days. Would you prayerfully consider giving a special donation to a special fund just created for emergency feeding? Any amount, no matter how small or how great, will significantly help our Sisters and Brothers in their hour of great need. Our local partners can provide a safe place to wire the monies outside of Zimbabwe where food can be purchased and brought in to distribute.
